What are everyone’s thoughts on the genetic testing? Since my mom passed a few months ago of ovarian cancer, I keep hearing about getting tested. I also have ovarian cancer on my dad’s side of the family. I wouldn’t know even where to start. Can anyone recommend a genetist?

They have it at lehigh valley hospital I had it done. The program was called cancer risk and genetic assessment. You just make a phone call and they send you a packet to fill out of your family history and then you have blood drawn, they pretty much take care everything just have to show up and fill out the paperwork!

      Maybe you’re still here
I feel you all around me
      Your memory, so clear

      Deep in the stillness
      I can hear you…[Read more]

Kristin, our thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom, Pat, and all of your family during this very difficult time. Please remember the words that Rev. Jeff Aiken quoted for us. And although it can feel that cancer has won please remember the things that cancer cannot do.

      Cancer cannot:

      cripple love,

      it cannot shatter hope,

      it can’t corrode…[Read more]
